Those directions, of course, still tell you that 'Installation Complete' doesn't mean that the installation is complete, so you need to guess when it's safe to turn off your car and yank the thumb drive out of the USB port.Īfter all that, they still haven't managed to fix whatever causes SYNC to unexpectedly freeze and drop its Bluetooth connection. Oddly enough, Chrome on my phone was able to load the correct (but still confusing) directions. But even in Firefox, I couldn't load the correct directions (I got directions for MyFordTouch). I wasn't able to coax Chrome into loading the full page, but Firefox worked for me.

Even downloading the update is a trial, since the website mixes which newer browers hate. Sync 4.6 was finally available for me (2013 hatchback w/ non-touchscreen MyFord).
